Capabilities of an i2 Notebook plug-in

The following is a non-exhaustive list of what an i2 Notebook plug-in can do:

• Change the commands that users see on the application ribbon and in context menus
• Create a user interface panel called a tool view
• Listen to changes to the chart, the user's view of it, and the selection on it
• Read data from the application, the chart, and the view
• Change the records and elements on a chart
• Change the style of elements on a chart
• Change which records and elements are selected on a chart
• Change the view of a chart

There is no limit to how many of these capabilities a single i2 Notebook plug-in can provide.
